Consultation
Dr. Mann has extensive experience and background in the area of custody
dispute. This began with his doctorial dissertation completed in 1984 on
“Children’s Adjustment to Divorce as Related to Sole and Joint Custody.”
He did his dissertation with the Orange County Courts. Dr. Mann most recently
was the only private practitioner to serve on a committee with several judges
and mediators, who developed, Orange County’s current Parenting Plan Guidelines
parenting.pdf.
These guidelines are for custody and visitation to assist families, mediators,
judges, and evaluators. They are distributed to every individual that is
in a custody dispute who requires mediation with the Orange County Courts
in California.
Dr. Mann’s consulting services include the following:

Consultation for the parents that are going to go through a Custody Evaluation with a different doctor other than Dr. Mann.

Consultation for attorneys to assist them in understanding and reviewing a work product.

Consultation with colleagues who are performing Custody Evaluations and need additional understanding and input, particularly in cases where there are concerns of sexual abuse and domestic violence.

Consultation with therapists, who are working with families in custody disputes.

Consultation with Special Master/Parenting Coordinators to assist them with complex and difficult cases.

Consultation with attorneys on strategizing how best to assist their clients who are having custody difficulties.
